Review: Sienna Skies – A Darker Shade of Truth
Band: Sienna Skies
Album: A Darker Shade of Truth
Label: In Vogue Records
Release Date: December 2nd 2016
Throughout the years, Australia has produced some amazing heavy bands, including Blood Duster, AC/DC, Daysend, The Creptter Children and Mortal Sin.
The Australian musical scene is alive and well, with another band about to unleash pure delight — ladies and gentlemen, I give to you Sienna Skies!
Formed in Sydney, 2006, Sienna Skies have released three full length albums and an EP. The band’s fourth album, ‘A Darker Shade of Truth’, is set to be released on December 2nd through In Vogue records.
From the first notes of the album’s opening track, ‘A Darker Shade of Truth’ delivers a diverse mix of brutal intensity through their music, alongside soothing melodies.
Standout tracks include ‘Misunderstood’, ‘Divided’, ‘Where Mountain Meets Man’, ‘Clear Eyes Full Hearts’, ‘Corporate Cross‘, and ‘Separated Hearts’. ‘A Darker Shade of Truth’ is an amazing piece of modern heavy music that you should get your hands on — you will not be disappointed!
